Custom Shipping Rate for Odoo helps businesses manage shipping charges more flexibly when using third-party shipping carriers. By default, Odoo mainly depends on the live shipping rate received from the carrier API. However, in many business cases, companies may want to use their own custom shipping price instead of the carrier-provided rate. This module adds a configuration option in the shipping method called **“Do You Want To Calculate Custom Rate?”**. If this option is set to **False**, the system will continue using the default live API rate provided by the shipping carrier. If this option is set to **True**, the system enables a dedicated **Custom Shipping Rate** configuration page after the Description page, along with additional configuration options to control how the custom rate should be calculated. With this module, businesses can define and manage custom shipping rates based on their own pricing rules and shipping requirements. It is useful when the carrier does not provide live rates, when businesses have negotiated shipping prices, or when they want to charge customers a fixed/custom shipping amount instead of the actual carrier cost. The module provides better control over shipping cost calculation and helps businesses avoid manual shipping price updates on sale orders. It is especially useful for companies using third-party shipping integrations where flexible pricing is required. 01 Without Enabling Custom Shipping Rate
If you don’t enable this Custom Shipping Rate feature then it will take the default rate that is provided by API when adding shipping.
02 Based On Countries & State
After defining countries & state rules it will take the country and state from the customer's address and match those values with custom shipping rules, which record gets matched from that rate will be fetched.
03 Based On Weight
After defining based on weight rule it will take the total product’s weight and match those values with custom shipping rules, which record gets matched from that weight will be fetched.
04 Based On Order Amount
After defining based on the order amount rule it will take the total order amount from the sale order and match those values with custom shipping rules, which record gets matched from that rate will be fetched.
05 Based On Countries & State and Based On Weight
After defining these two rules at the same time it will take country and state values from the customer's address and total product’s weight and match those values with custom shipping rules, which record gets matched from that rate will be fetched.
06 Based On Countries & State and Based On Order Amount
After defining these two rules at the same time it will take country and state from the customer's address and total order amount from the sale order and match those values with custom shipping rules, which record gets matched from that rate will be fetched.
07 Based On Weight & Based On Order Amount
After defining these two rules at the same time it will take the total product’s weight and total order amount from the sale order and match those values with custom shipping rules, which record gets matched from that rate will be fetched.
08 Based On Countries & State And Based On Weight And Based On Order Amount
After defining these three rules at the same time it will take country and state from the customer's address and total product’s weight when adding a shipping and total order amount from the sale order and match those values with custom shipping rules, which record gets matched from that rate will be fetched.
