Customer Code Sequence
Auto-generate unique customer codes for your Odoo Contacts
Overview
The Customer Code Sequence module solves a common ERP pain point: automatically generating a unique customer code for each partner. It extends the standard Odoo Contacts app by utilizing the existing ref field to store a clean, formatted customer code (e.g., CUST-00001).
Key Features
Auto-Generation
Automatically creates a unique code when a new customer is created, saving time and preventing manual entry errors.
Customizable Prefix & Padding
Set your own prefix (e.g., CUST-, PEL-) and define the length of the sequence number (e.g., 5 for CUST-00001) directly from the General Settings.
Companies Only Option
Choose to generate codes only for companies. Child contacts will automatically inherit their parent company's code, keeping your data organized.
Readonly Mode
Optionally lock the customer code field after generation to prevent accidental modifications by users.
