Not everyone likes the same depth of darkness. Dark Islands ships with four scientifically tuned darkness levels computed from the base palette — no hardcoded palettes, perfectly harmonious at every level.

Per-User Preferences

Every user independently chooses their preferred darkness level from their own Preferences page. One colleague can use Level 1 (Darkest) while another prefers Level 4 (Soft) — zero admin intervention, total flexibility.
How to Set It
- Navigate to User Menu → Preferences
- Select Dark Level from the dropdown: Darkest / Dark / Medium / Soft
- Save — the page reloads instantly with the new depth applied
- Admins can configure levels for other users via the Users management view

Exclusions
