Why Choose This Module
Backup jobs with a schedule, a retention policy (Aufbewahrung) and a target destination that uses the CUSTOMER's own storage credentials (local path, SFTP, S3-compatible). The module assembles and tracks the job; it never holds a master credential of ours. Each run records the produced dump, its byte size, a SHA-256 integrity checksum and the wall-clock duration, so silent corruption is caught. Restore-test: a documented checklist + automated structural verification (checksum re-hash, dump openability, minimum-size guard, age-of-last-good guard) that produces a dated Restore-Test report - exactly the evidence a BCP audit asks for. Retention engine prunes runs older than the policy while always keeping the last known-good restore-tested backup. RTO / RPO tracking: target vs. actual recovery-point and recovery-time so the Notfallkonzept stays measurable. Health dashboard with the age of the last successful and last verified backup, and an alert state when either breaches its threshold.
