Same-illness Anrechnung (§3 Abs. 1 S. 2 EFZG / Fortsetzungserkrankung): a recurrence of the SAME illness consumes the same 42-day budget unless either 6 months have elapsed since the last incapacity for that illness OR 12 months have elapsed since its first onset — then a fresh entitlement begins. Krankengeld transition: once the 42 days are exhausted the employer payment stops and statutory sick pay (Krankengeld, §44 ff. SGB V) takes over; the engine computes the transition date. Per-day daily pay basis to value the continued-pay amount (informational; the payout is run in the customer's own payroll).
