Employee Training Management
Employee Training Management Odoo App adds a dedicated Employee Training Management menu where HR and team leads can run the full training cycle without leaving Odoo. Build a course, list its chapters, attach the trainees, and a single Start Course action turns every chapter into a session ready to schedule. Smart counters along the top of the course track the index, sessions, trainees and certificates at a glance.
On the session, the trainer presses Start Session to seed an attendance row for every trainee with a default present/absent toggle, and Create Task drops a project task per trainee straight into the linked project so homework, assessments or follow-up work has a clear owner. Each course carries auto-numbered references (CR/00001) so records stay traceable.
When the course is marked Done, a completion certificate is produced for every enrolled trainee with a print-ready PDF carrying the company name, trainee, course title and duration. A built-in Course Analysis report breaks down activity by trainee, course, project and tag. Useful for HR, L&D, manufacturing trainers and any team that runs structured internal training and wants paperwork, attendance and proof of completion in one place.

- Auto Task Creation: Create Task on a session generates a project task per trainee, linked to the course and project so homework or assessments have a clear owner.
- Custom Task Wizard: A simple wizard creates ad-hoc tasks linked to a course and project, with multiple assignees, for any extra work beyond the daily sessions.
- Auto-Numbered Courses: Every course receives a unique reference (CR/00001) from a built-in sequence — no manual numbering, no duplicates.
- Completion Workflow: Each course moves through Draft → In Progress → Done → Cancelled with the right action button surfacing on each stage.
- Auto-Issued Certificates: When a course is marked Done, a certificate is created for every enrolled trainee with course name and duration ready to print.
- Printable Certificate PDF: A Certificate of Completion PDF prints with the company header, trainee name, course title and duration — ready to hand over.
- Smart Counters on the Course: Header counters jump straight to that course's Index, Sessions, Trainees and Certificates with one click.
- Course Analysis Report: A pivot under Reporting cross-tabulates trainee, course, project, tag, count and duration so HR can see who trained on what at a glance.
- Configurable Trainers, Trainees and Tags: Maintain the trainer pool, trainee pool and course tag library from a Configuration menu so the dropdowns stay tidy.
Build a Course With Chapters
On the Course form, fill in name, duration, project and tags, then add chapters under the Index tab — here Introduction to Odoo, Sales & CRM and Accounting Basics. The course is auto-numbered (CR/00001) and the Start Course button kicks off the workflow.
Sessions Generated Automatically
After Start Course, the workflow ribbon moves to In Progress and the Session tab fills with one session per chapter — ready to schedule without retyping anything.
Add Trainees to the Course
The Trainees tab takes the employees enrolled in this course. The Trainees counter at the top of the page reflects the count.
Certificates Issued on Completion
Press Done and the course advances to the final stage; the Certificate tab now lists one certificate per trainee, generated automatically.
Browse All Courses
The Course menu offers list, kanban and form views so coordinators can see every course at once, grouped by state or duration, and open any of them in a tap.


Start a Session
Open a session — here Accounting Basics — set the trainer (Beth Evans) and the trainees, then press Start Session. Counters at the top show Trainees, Attendance and Tasks at a glance.
Attendance Seeded Automatically
Starting the session stamps the start time and fills the Attendance tab with one row per trainee, pre-linked to the course and session. Switch any row between Present and Absent as people arrive.
Create a Task per Trainee
Create Task on the session lays down one project task per trainee under the Task tab, already linked to the right course — handy for follow-up work or assessments.
Task Opens in the Project App
Each auto-created task lives in the Project app like any other task — with course, project, assignee, deadline and the standard chatter — so existing project workflows pick it up without changes.
Attendance Across Sessions
The dedicated Attendance menu lists every trainee row across all sessions, so HR can spot missed sessions or roll up attendance by course or trainee.

Chapter Library
The Index menu lists every chapter created across all courses — useful for reusing existing content or reviewing the syllabus library at a glance.

All Issued Certificates
The Certificate menu lists every certificate that has been issued, with the trainee, course, duration and project on each row — searchable in one place.
Open a Trainee's Certificate
Open any certificate record to see the trainee, the course they completed, the duration and the linked project — and to print the PDF.
Printable Certificate of Completion
The printed PDF arrives with the company header, a CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION title, the trainee's name, the course title and the duration in days — ready to hand over.
Course Analysis Reporting
Under the Reporting menu, a pivot view cross-tabulates trainee, course, tag, project, duration and count — so HR can see at a glance who trained on what and for how long.
Maintain Your Trainer Pool
From Configuration, list the trainers available to run sessions so they appear in the Trainer dropdown on each session.
Maintain Your Trainee Pool
A matching Trainee list keeps the employees who can join training visible in one place, so the Trainees picker on courses and sessions stays tidy.
Manage Course Tags
Tags such as Project Management or Customer Service live under Configuration and are picked on each course to group, filter and report by skill area.
