Create LinkedIn App
Create a new app in the LinkedIn Developer Portal by entering the App Name, LinkedIn Page URL, Privacy Policy URL, and uploading a demo app logo. If you don’t have a LinkedIn company page, create one first. Accept the Legal Agreement to proceed.
Verify Company Page
After creating the app, go to the Settings tab and verify your LinkedIn company page. Company page verification is required to use organization-level LinkedIn features.
Company Page Verification
Click on Verify to open the verification page in your browser. Confirm your company name and logo, then click Verify to submit the verification request.
Request Access for Permissions
Request access for the required LinkedIn products and permissions. Some permissions require filling out a request form. Complete the form and submit it to get approval.
Check OAuth Scopes
Open the OAuth tab and make sure all required OAuth scopes are available. These scopes are mandatory for the LinkedIn integration module to work correctly.
Copy Client ID & Secret
Copy the Client ID and Client Secret from the LinkedIn app. Also copy the Redirect URL from Odoo and paste it into the Authorized Redirect URLs section in LinkedIn.
Configure LinkedIn in Odoo
Go to Odoo Settings and paste the Client ID and Client Secret. Copy the Redirect URL from Odoo and add it to LinkedIn’s OAuth settings. Save the configuration and click Connect to LinkedIn Account.
Sign In to LinkedIn
Sign in using your personal LinkedIn account. Make sure this account is linked with your organization/company pages.
Successful Login
After successful login, LinkedIn generates an access token and shows a success message. Click on Go to Odoo to return to the application.
Personal Account Connected
Here you can see your personal LinkedIn account details along with the Disconnect button. This confirms that your personal LinkedIn account is successfully connected.
Select Organization Page
Select the Organization option and click Refresh Profile & Orgs. All company pages linked to your personal account will be fetched and displayed for selection.
Sync Posts
Open the LinkedIn module in Odoo and click on the Sync Posts button to manually sync posts from the selected account or organization page. Posts are also automatically synced every 30 minutes, so the list view stays up to date.
View Synced Posts
Click on the Posts menu to view all posts synced from the selected organization page. Only posts from the currently selected account will be shown.
Post Form View
Open any synced post to view details such as post description, post type, post URL, and attachments. This provides a complete overview of the LinkedIn post.
Post Insights
You can view post insights such as likes, comments, shares, and interactions (organization pages only). Insights are automatically updated every 30 minutes and can also be refreshed manually.
Create New Post
Click on the New button to create a new LinkedIn post. Enter the post name, description, post type, and add attachments, then save.
Schedule Post
You can schedule a post for a future date by selecting a schedule date and clicking Schedule. The post will be published automatically at the scheduled time, and its state will change from Scheduled to Posted.
Posted Post
After the post is published, its state changes to Posted. The Post URL is generated, allowing you to view the post directly on LinkedIn.
