POS Auto Lock in Odoo
The POS Auto Lock Screen module enhances the security of your Odoo Point of Sale by automatically locking the terminal after a configurable period of inactivity. Administrators can easily define the idle timeout (in seconds) and set a secure PIN code from the POS interface or general settings. Once locked, the terminal restricts access and requires an authorized user to enter their correct PIN on a touch-friendly numpad to unlock and resume the session, preventing unauthorized actions on unattended terminals.

- Secure PIN Unlock – Unlock the session using a PIN with a touch-friendly on-screen numpad.
- Manual Lock Option – Instantly lock the POS from the navbar when stepping away.
Go to Settings > Point of Sale > PoS Interface and activate the Auto Lock feature.
Alternatively, you can activate the Auto Lock feature directly from Point of Sale > Configuration > Point of Sale.
Open a Point of Sale session from the dashboard.
Start processing orders in the active Point of Sale session screen.
After the configured period of user inactivity, the POS session is automatically locked, securing the terminal.
To resume work, the authorized user must enter their secure PIN or password to unlock the session.
Once authenticated, the session is seamlessly unlocked and the user can continue their operations.
