Configure POS Lot Settings

Navigate to Point of Sale > Configuration > Settings. Under the Lot/Serial Selection section, choose your preferred Auto-Selection Strategy (Manual, FEFO, or FIFO). Set the Expiry Buffer Days to filter out nearing end-of-life products.

Product Tracking Setup

Ensure your products are configured for tracking. Go to Inventory > Products > Products, open a product, and in the Inventory tab, set Tracking to 'By Lots' or 'By Unique Serial Number'.

Manage Lot/Serial Inventory

Easily track and manage all lot and serial numbers associated with your products. From the product form, click the Lots/Serial Numbers smart button to see a detailed list of all tracked units, their quantities, and locations.

Update Product Stock

Ensure your inventory levels are accurate before selling in POS. Use the Update Quantity button on the product form to set the on-hand stock for specific lots or serial numbers, ensuring the POS has stock available to select.

Enhanced Selection in POS

Launch a POS session and add a tracked product. A rich popup appears showing all available lots. You can see the Available Quantity, Expiry Date, and status badges. Simply select the desired lot(s) and confirm.

Automated Selection (FEFO/FIFO)

If FEFO or FIFO is enabled, the system automatically picks the best lot (e.g., the one expiring soonest) and assigns it to the order line without opening the popup, saving time for the cashier.
