POS Min/Max Price Limits in Odoo
The POS Min/Max Price Limits module empowers you to maintain control over your profit margins by setting specific minimum and maximum selling prices for products in your Point of Sale. Prevent cashiers from accidentally or deliberately selling items below cost or above maximum retail prices. Easily configure price restrictions on product, and when a cashier attempts to exceed these limits, the POS system instantly blocks the transaction and issues an alert. For special cases, authorized managers can override these restrictions, ensuring a secure yet flexible checkout process.

Enable POS Min/Max Rules
Navigate to Point of Sale > Configuration > Settings. Locate the Min/Max Price Restrictions section and enable it to activate price controls for your POS.
Configure Product Price Limits
Go to the Product Form. Under the Sales or Point of Sale tab, set the Minimum Price and Maximum Price for the product.
Real-time Price Validation
When a cashier enters a price on the POS screen, the system immediately checks if it falls within the allowed minimum and maximum range.
Restricted Action Alert
If a cashier attempts to apply a price outside the permitted limits, an error pop-up will block the action and warn the user.
Manager Override Capability
Authorized POS Managers have the override privilege to bypass these limits when a special exception is required.
