Enable Warehouse Average Costing

Navigate to Inventory > Configuration > Settings. Enable the Warehouse Average Costing setting and configure default settings like the costing decimal precision and internal transfer cost propagation method.

Product & Category Configuration

Create or select a product and assign it to a product category whose costing method is set to Average Cost (AVCO).

Purchase Flow & Average Cost Calculations

Raise purchase orders at different unit prices and validate the receipts, and each warehouse's average cost recalculates on its own, with every change written to the cost history.

Analysis Reports & Multi-Warehouse Tracking

Open Warehouse Valuation, Cost Variance and its monthly summary, and Margin Analysis and its summary as on-screen lists, pivots and graphs, then compare warehouses by raising purchase orders for different locations.

Execute Manual Cost Revaluation

Open a warehouse cost record and click Revaluate Cost to set a new cost. You see the current cost, quantity and value next to the new cost, the difference and the change percent before confirming, and you choose the accounting date, journal and accounts. The reason you enter is kept with the change in the cost history.

Bulk Cost Revaluation

Adjust several products at once. Filter by warehouse and product category, choose a percentage or fixed amount adjustment, then review the preview list showing each product's current cost, quantity, new cost and value change, and tick the ones to include.
