Configurable Printing Preferences in Odoo

With Direct print for Odoo, users can configure printing settings and preferences within the Odoo platform.

Generate Your PrintNode API Key

Log in to your PrintNode account to generate a new API key. This key allows Odoo to communicate with the service. Next, install the PrintNode client on your local machine and complete the setup to establish a secure connection.

Configure Direct Print Settings in Odoo

Navigate to Settings → Direct Print. Here you can enter your API key, then check the list of available printers. If you have multiple printers connected, remember to enable the “Multiple Printers” option.

View Connected Printers in PrintNode

In your PrintNode account, go to Devices to see every printer that is currently connected to the system or computer running the PrintNode client.

Print Documents Directly from Odoo.

When you click the Print button on a Sale Order, Purchase Order, or Invoice, the document is automatically sent to the selected printer and also downloaded for reference.

Monitor Print Activity in PrintNode.

After printing, you can track all print jobs in your PrintNode account → Print Jobs (Print Something) section, where details of every printed file are recorded.
