Discount Level Authorization

This module enables you to authorize the discount level in Odoo POS to enable the user to allow each product whether to give discount on or not. Also the cashiers of POS can now be allowed a fixed discount level, above which they require manager permission to give discount.

Description

Experience the power of our custom 'Discount level authorization' module, developed to meet your unique requirements. You can assign a fixed level of discount on the products of POS as well as individual employees who are authorized to access the point of sale. Unauthorized discounts could be avoided through this module. In POS, we can apply discount both in percentage or fixed amount. In percentage, the level of discount allowed to cashier will be applied. In amount, odoo will automatically calculate the percentage and compare with the authorized discount level and will show both the amount and percentage of discount on the product.

However, in some instances the cashier needs to apply more than allowed discount on a product. But our module gives the option to seek manager permission for it. Manager can allow the discount by the input of his/her pin code and Boom! Above than allowed discount is now applied on the product.

Effective and easy authorization. Say bye to observing every transaction to see whether the applied discount is appropriate.
No extra discounts. Through this module the cashier cannot give more discounts to the known ones and effect your business performance.
Product specific discount system. Discount would only be applied on the products specified for the discounts. Other products will not allow the cashier to apply discounts on them.
Manager knows every move. The products with extra discount will not be unknown by the higher authorities cause they require manager’s permission, and only be discounted if manager approves them, otherwise not.

Exploring the module: (How to)

Download and Install the module.
Go to the "products" tab of POS interface and select the desired product to enable discount on.

Here you will see "Allow discount" option, which you can enable by clicking the "yes" button. Then Click on "Save".

Now go to the sales option and check the box "Available in POS".

Now go to the "Employees" section of odoo and select the authorized cashier to allow discount level.

Click on the "Edit" button and go to "HR Settings". Here you can see the "Allowed Discount" option. Here you can put the maximum percentage of discount allowed to the cashier and and press "Save".

Now go to your POS shop/restaurant and select the product to give discount on. Press the "Disc" button.

A dialog box appears asking the type of discount to give. Press "percentage" button and enter the percentage of discount to give. The applied discount could be seen under the name and quantity of product.

Now if we select the "Amount" option for discount, a box appears asking for the fixed amount of discount to be applied.

Enter the amount and press "OK". The amount of discount along with the percentage can be seen under the name of product.

If we put unallowed percentage or amount of discount, a dialog box will appear asking for manager's permission.

Select the manager and enter the pin code. The required discount will now be applied to the product.

Note: Now we can proceed with the payment process as usual.
