Native Poll Feature for Odoo Discuss
A bar-chart icon next to the file-upload button in any discuss.channel opens a poll creation dialog. Polls render inline in the chat as interactive cards — single or multiple choice, with live vote counts, per-voter visibility, and a manual close action for the creator.
Real-time Vote Sync
Votes broadcast over bus.bus using the
mail.record/insert channel — every member of the channel sees the
tally update instantly, no refresh needed.
Voter Breakdown Dialog
A “View Votes” action on every poll card opens a results dialog grouped by option, listing each voter — so you always know who picked what.

Create a Poll Without Leaving the Chat
Click the bar-chart icon in the Discuss composer (next to the paperclip and emoji buttons) to open the poll creation dialog. Type your question, add as many options as you need, optionally enable multiple-choice voting, and post — the poll appears instantly in the channel for every member to see.
Polls Render Natively in the Discuss Thread
Each poll appears as a self-contained card inside the message stream. Tap any
option to cast your vote — your selection is highlighted, vote counts are shown
next to each option, and the change is broadcast over bus.bus so
every channel member sees the new tally without refreshing.
See Who Voted for What
The View Votes action on every poll card opens a results dialog that groups voters by option, so it's clear at a glance who picked what. Useful for quick decisions, lunch picks, sprint planning, and any team agreement that benefits from visibility into who chose which side.
