One-Click Insert

Click the template button in any chatter compose bar, pick a template and it inserts instantly with all placeholders resolved.

Dynamic Placeholders

Use placeholders like partner name, order number or date that resolve to the current record's values when inserted.

Categories & Organization

Organize templates into categories (Sales, Support, HR, etc.). Filter by category in the picker for quick access.

Live Preview

Preview the resolved template body before inserting. See exactly what your message will look like with real record data.

Favorites

Star your most-used templates. Favorites appear at the top of the picker for instant access to your go-to replies.

Model Restrictions

Restrict templates to specific models (e.g. only on Sale Orders) so the picker shows only relevant options per context.

Group Access Control

Restrict templates by user group. Sales templates visible only to Sales, HR templates only to HR managers.

Default Attachments

Attach default files to templates. When inserted, the attachments are automatically included with the message.

Usage Analytics

Track which templates are used most, by whom and on which models. QWeb reports and dashboard views for managers.

Settings Integration

Enable/disable the feature globally from Settings. Configuration via res.config.settings with feature flag support.

Installation

1. Copy do_mail_quick_templates into your Odoo add-ons path.
2. Update the Apps list and install Chatter Quick Reply Templates.
3. The template button appears in every chatter compose bar automatically.

Configuration

1. Enable the feature in Settings > Discuss > Quick Reply Templates.
2. Create categories and templates from the Templates menu.
3. Optionally restrict templates by model and user group.
