Each installment is a real, trackable line with a due date and amount; the last installment absorbs any rounding cent so the schedule always adds up exactly to the pledge total.
Journal Entry Posting
Marking an installment paid posts a genuine journal entry (debit the receiving bank/cash journal, credit a donation income account) linked back to the installment for one-click drill-down.
Campaign Goal & Progress Tracking
Collected/goal percentage, donor count and active/lapsed pledge counts are computed straight from the underlying installments, with no manual recalculation needed.
Overdue & Lapsed Detection
Installments are flagged the moment they go unpaid past their due date; a daily cron job automatically marks a pledge lapsed once its oldest overdue installment has gone unpaid past a grace period.
Donor Thank-You Emails
Send a thank-you email straight from the pledge record using a customisable mail template and track when it was sent, so no donor slips through the cracks.
Full Audit Trail
Every campaign, pledge and installment is tracked through chatter (mail.thread) with the resulting journal entries linked for one-click drill-down.
