Easi Inbox
Gmail-like inbox inside Odoo
What it does
Easi Inbox turns Odoo into a real email client.
Every mail received via fetchmail and addressed to a user's
res.users.email is routed to that user's
Inbox folder, with a clean Gmail-like 3-pane UI
(folders / list / reading view), keyboard shortcuts,
real-time bus notifications, and a systray bubble showing
unread count.
Mails arriving on catchall, bounce or unknown alias are caught and routed to a single Unrouted folder shared between configured managers, instead of being silently dropped.
Smart routing
By res.users.email, plus catchall and
bounce. Multi-manager triage on Unrouted folder.
Productivity
Reply / Reply All / Forward, snooze, send later, undo send, bulk actions, drag-and-drop.
Search
Gmail-like syntax: from:,
subject:, has:attachment,
is:unread, before:/after:
Smart tabs
Auto-classification into Primary / Updates / Promotions / Forums based on sender + subject.
Move & Create
Attach an orphan mail to any record (helpdesk ticket, lead, sale.order, ...) or create a new record from it in one click.
Visible recipients
Optional Gmail-like group send: all recipients see each other in To/Cc instead of N separate emails.
Installation
- Place the
easi_inboxfolder under your Odoo addons path. - Restart the Odoo server.
- Apps menu → Update Apps List → search "Easi Inbox" → Install.
Configuration
Open Settings → Easi Inbox:
- Mirror Discuss notifications (default OFF) â when ON, every chatter notification is mirrored as an Easi Inbox message.
- Make recipients visible (default OFF) â Gmail-like group send.
- Unrouted mails managers â pick one or several users who triage catchall / bounce / unknown alias mails.
- Undo Send window (seconds) (default 0 = OFF) â delay every outgoing mail by N seconds with a "Undo" toast.
- Archive after reply (default OFF) â auto-mark the original as Processed when the user clicks Send.
Each user can also set their followed Discuss channels in their Preferences (mirrored to the Easi Inbox; direct messages are always excluded).
Usage
The 3-pane interface
Open Inbox from the main menu. Folders on the left, message list in the middle, reading view on the right. Auto mark-read on selection.

Mails arriving on unknown aliases land in a unique "Unrouted" folder shared between configured managers.
Reply & Compose
Compose new mails with optional template dropdown ; reply pre-fills recipients, subject and quoted body.
Settings & systray
Centralized configuration plus a live unread badge in the top systray (real-time bus updates).

A quoi ca sert
Easi Inbox transforme Odoo en veritable client mail.
Chaque mail recu via fetchmail et adresse a l'email d'un
utilisateur (res.users.email) est route vers la
boite de reception de cet utilisateur, avec une UI
Gmail-like en 3 panneaux (dossiers / liste / lecture),
des raccourcis clavier, des notifications temps-reel via
le bus, et une bulle systray avec compteur de non-lus.
Les mails arrivant sur catchall, bounce ou alias inconnu sont captures et routes vers un dossier "Non routes" unique partage entre les gestionnaires configures, au lieu d'etre silencieusement perdus.
Installation
- Placer le dossier
easi_inboxdans votre addons path Odoo. - Redemarrer le serveur Odoo.
- Menu Apps → Mettre a jour la liste des apps → rechercher "Easi Inbox" → Installer.
Parametrage
Ouvrir Configuration → Easi Inbox :
- Miroir des notifications Discuss (defaut OFF)
- Destinataires visibles (defaut OFF) â envoi groupe Gmail-like.
- Gestionnaires des mails non routes â selectionner un ou plusieurs utilisateurs.
- Fenetre d'annulation d'envoi (secondes) (defaut 0 = OFF).
- Archiver apres reponse (defaut OFF).
