What it does

Easi Inbox turns Odoo into a real email client and a shared team workspace. Incoming mail is routed to the right person or the right team, displayed in a clean Gmail-like 3-pane UI (folders / list / reading view) with avatars, keyboard shortcuts, real-time notifications and a systray unread badge — and every email can be turned into the Odoo record it belongs to.

Mail arriving on catchall, bounce or an unknown alias is captured into a shared Unrouted folder instead of being silently dropped; mail on a shared team address lands in the Team Inbox where any member can take it.

3-pane Gmail-like UI: sender avatars, bold unread, body preview, conversation threads, smart tabs (Primary / Updates / Promotions), bulk actions and drag-and-drop.

Email → business record

One-click CRM lead, Helpdesk ticket, activity, or link/create any Odoo record from a mail. De-duplicated per conversation. The mail lands in the record's chatter.

Automation engine

Gmail-style filter rules: match on sender / subject / body / attachments, then move, label, star, forward, create a lead or ticket, schedule an activity, or notify a user / Discuss channel — automatically on arrival.

Manager cockpit

Live KPIs — backlog, unread, overdue, processed today, received today — and workload per user. Click any figure to drill into the exact messages.

How it works

Easi Inbox plugs in after Odoo's standard mail routing — it never replaces it. Incoming mail is dispatched to the right user, the right team, or the Unrouted folder, then becomes a business action.

Installation

  1. Place the easi_inbox folder under your Odoo addons path.
  2. Restart the Odoo server.
  3. Apps → Update Apps List → search "Easi Inbox" → Install.
  4. Optional: configure a fetchmail server, declare teams, and add managers to the Cockpit Manager group.

Compatibility

  • Odoo 19 — Community & Enterprise.
  • Business bridges (CRM lead, Helpdesk ticket, activities, Partner 360) light up automatically when the matching app is installed — and are safely skipped otherwise.

À quoi ça sert

Easi Inbox transforme Odoo en véritable client mail et en espace de travail partagé. Le module ne modifie pas le cœur d'Odoo : easi.inbox.message pointe vers mail.message sans en hériter. Le routage s'exécute dans un try/except après le traitement standard, donc un incident du module ne bloque jamais la réception des mails. Résultat : désinstallation propre et zéro régression sur le chatter.
