Define minimum and maximum fee caps to control your surcharges. Set a minimum order amount threshold so that the processing fee is only charged on smaller orders.
Configure caps and thresholds in your company's base currency. The system automatically converts these limits to the order's checkout currency at current exchange rates.
Display live fee badges next to each payment method at checkout. Selecting a method instantly shows the fee in the order summary before payment.

Configure the payment provider fee settings (Fixed Fee, Percentage Fee, Minimum Fee, Maximum Fee, Minimum Order Amount, Tax Mode) directly on the provider configuration page (e.g. Stripe, PayPal). In this example, Stripe is configured with a $20.00 Fixed Fee, 10.00% Percentage Fee, $2.00 Minimum Fee, $100.00 Maximum Fee, and $200.00 Minimum Order Amount, with Fee Tax Mode set to "Set taxes manually".
During the checkout payment step, selecting a payment method automatically updates the order summary and displays a fee badge next to the payment provider. Here, Mastercard (Secured by Stripe) is selected with a fee badge of + $ 53.12, updating the order summary with a Payment Fee of $ 53.12 (on a Subtotal of $ 288.00, with Taxes of $ 43.20), bringing the final Total to $ 384.32. Visa (Secured by Authorize.Net) is unselected but shows a + $ 8.00 fee badge.
After a successful transaction, the order confirmation page (Order S00067) displays the calculated Payment Fee of $ 53.12 in the order summary, along with the final Total of $ 384.32.
Audit the transaction details in the Stripe Dashboard to verify the complete charge of US$384.32 USD, with Stripe processing fees of - US$12.79 USD and a net amount of US$371.53 USD. The description field shows the Odoo order number S00067.
In the Odoo backend, view the Sales Order S00067 with the "[PAYMENT_PROVIDER_FEE] Payment Processing Fee" added as a normal line item with a Unit Price of 53.12. The final order Total is $ 384.32 (Untaxed Amount: $ 341.12, Tax 15%: $ 43.20).
