Navigate to the Apps application.Search for the POS Fast Loading module. Install the module.

Navigate to Settings → Users & Companies → Users.

Open the required user record. Under the Access Rights tab, locate the POS Fast Loading permission. Assign one of the available access levels:

• User – Provides standard access to POS Fast Loading features.
• Manager – Provides full configuration and management access.

Save the user configuration after assigning the appropriate permission.

Navigate to the Point of Sale application.

Open Configuration → POS Fast Loading Setup.

The setup list displays all available POS Fast Loading configurations. The setup list displays all available POS Fast Loading configurations. Each configuration displays:

• Configuration Name
• POS Data Source
• POS Syncing Method
• Status
• Cache Last Sync Time

The module supports separate cache configurations such as Postgres and MongoDB.Click New to create a new POS Fast Loading configuration.

Open an existing POS Fast Loading setup record. Select the source from which POS data should be loaded. The configuration can use supported cache backends such as:

• Postgres
• MongoDB

Configure the POS synchronization behavior according to the required update strategy. The setup record displays important cache information, including:

• Cache Version
• Pending POS Refresh Status
• Product Last Sync Time
• Customer Last Sync Time
• Pricelist Last Sync Time
• Cache Last Sync Time

Use the Active status to enable the configuration. Use Deactivate when the cache configuration should no longer be available for POS loading.

Manual Data Synchronization

• Open the required POS Fast Loading configuration.
• Click Sync Products to synchronize product data with the configured cache backend.
• Click Sync Customers to synchronize customer records.
• Click Sync Pricelist to synchronize applicable pricelist data.
• The Pricelist Sync Scope determines which pricelists are included in the synchronization process.
• After synchronization, the corresponding last sync timestamps are updated automatically.
• The cache version is updated when synchronized POS data changes.
• The Pending POS Refresh indicator identifies whether the POS frontend needs to refresh its cached data.

Navigate to Point of Sale → Configuration → Point of Sales.

Open the required Point of Sale configuration.

Locate the POS Fast Loading section. Enable POS Fast Loading for the selected Point of Sale. Select the required fast-loading configuration from the available options, such as:

• Mongo
• Postgres

Each Point of Sale can be assigned to the appropriate cache configuration based on the required deployment architecture. Save the Point of Sale configuration after selecting the fast-loading setup.

POS Cache and Synchronization Workflow

• Once configured, POS catalog data is prepared using the selected fast-loading backend.
• Product, customer, and pricelist data can be synchronized independently.
• The selected synchronization mode controls how POS changes are communicated to active sessions.
• In Real Time Update mode, POS data changes can be propagated through the configured synchronization mechanism.
• In Only notify when Changes Occur mode, the system marks relevant changes and notifies the POS when refreshed data is required.
• Cache synchronization timestamps provide administrators with visibility into the freshness of each dataset.
• The cache version helps POS sessions identify updated cached content.
• This architecture is designed to reduce initial POS loading time and improve usability for large product catalogs, customer databases, and pricelist datasets.

Managing Multiple Cache Backends

• Administrators can maintain multiple POS Fast Loading configurations.
• Different Point of Sale configurations can use different cache backends.
• For example, one POS can use a Postgres cache configuration while another POS can use MongoDB.
• Each backend configuration maintains its own:
  • Synchronization method
  • Activation status
  • Cache version
  • Dataset synchronization timestamps
  • Refresh status
• This allows businesses to configure the POS loading architecture according to their infrastructure and performance requirements.

Reset Abandoned POS Sessions

• Open the required Point of Sale configuration.
• In the POS Fast Loading section, use the Reset Abandoned Session option when a stale or interrupted POS session prevents normal operation.
• This option helps clear abandoned session state before reopening or continuing POS operations.
• After assigning the required fast-loading configuration, the POS is ready to load its synchronized catalog data through the selected cache backend.

Open the Point of Sale application. Select the POS configuration that has POS Fast Loading enabled. Click Open Register to start a new POS session. The POS loads products, customers, and pricelists from the configured cache instead of loading all records directly from the database.

Fast Product Loading

• Once the POS session opens, products are displayed immediately using the cached data.
• Large product catalogs (for example, 20,000+ products) load quickly without browser freezing.
• Products are progressively available while maintaining a smooth POS experience.
