Odoo POS Stock Pro
POS Stock Pro enhances Odoo Point of Sale with real-time stock visibility, color-coded heatmaps, lot/expiry tracking, stock forecasting, cross-warehouse replenishment, and variant stock lookups. Enable cashiers to view live stock quantities directly on product tiles, request transfers, suggest alternative products, and apply manager PIN overrides to prevent lost sales.
KeyFeatures
Everything you need to manage stock and check inventory in real time directly from the POS interface.
Display current stock levels directly on product tiles inside POS. Choose between Available Qty and On-Hand Qty, set custom background and text colors, and configure the warehouse scope to match your current session or aggregate stock across all locations.
Gain multi-dimensional stock visibility inside the POS session. Enable the Variant Stock Popup to view and compare available quantities of all product variants in a clean, detailed list in one click.
Set threshold values to automatically categorize items into Healthy, Low, and Zero stock groups with visual color coding on product cards.
Enforce strict out-of-stock sale blocking, but allow managers to quickly override restrictions by entering a secure fallback PIN.
Check live stock quantities at other warehouses and instantly submit internal transfer requests directly from the POS interface.
Manage POS Inventory with Confidence
POS Stock Pro is designed for Odoo retail businesses that need real-time, accurate, and multi-dimensional inventory visibility at the point of sale. Prevent overselling, keep cashiers informed of incoming quantities, manage expiring lots, and seamlessly transfer stock between warehouses.
What is POS Stock Pro?
POS Stock Pro is a native Odoo 19 point of sale integration that provides real-time stock visibility and control. It adds highly customizable stock badges, color-coded heatmaps, lot/expiry tracking, stock forecasting, cross-warehouse replenishment, and variant stock lookups directly to the POS screen.
Whether you run a single retail outlet or manage a complex network of warehouses, this module helps you prevent lost sales, optimize inventory workflows, and keep your POS sessions synchronized with live backend stock values.

POS Stock Pro Workflow Screenshots
Follow the POS Stock Pro setup and workflow from module activation, setting configuration, low stock alerts, lot/expiry management, stock forecasting, cross-warehouse replenishment, and manager override flows.
Activate the "POS Stock Manager Pro" module in Odoo to get started with advanced stock features.
After activating the "POS Stock Manager Pro" module, a Stock Display section is added to the Point of Sale settings.
The "Lot/Expiry, Forecasting & Replenishment, and Smart Stock Intelligence" configuration sections are also added to the POS settings.
The "Analytics & Reporting" and "Enterprise Features" sections are integrated into the POS configuration settings.
Currently, products are displayed in the Point of Sale interface, but the product quantities are not visible.
In the "Point of Sale" settings, enable the "Show Stock on Product Tiles" option under the "Stock Display" section.
After enabling the "Show Stock on Product Tiles" option, stock quantities begin to appear on the Product Tiles.
In the "Quantity to Display" field, select either "Available Qty" or "On-Hand Qty" to choose which stock metric is shown on the Product Tiles.
In the "Stock Display" section, the "Warehouse Scope" field offers "This POS Warehouse Only" (displays stock only from the POS-configured warehouse) and "All Warehouses Combined" (displays aggregated stock across all warehouses).
Change the position of the stock quantity badge on the Product Tiles using the "Badge Position" field, then save the configuration.
The stock badges appear at the bottom of the Product Tiles in the Point of Sale screen.
Customize the badge's background color and text color to match your POS theme, which will be applied dynamically on the Product Tiles.
Configure a "Low Stock Threshold" value; any product whose quantity falls below this count will have its stock badge highlighted in yellow.
Enable "Block Sale When Out of Stock" to prevent products with a quantity of "0" from being added to the order lines.
View the current cart quantity badge and available stock badge simultaneously on the product tile, allowing cashiers to easily compare order levels against active inventory.
If a cart quantity exceeds available stock levels, the system prompts with a warning popup and automatically adjusts the order quantity to the maximum available stock.
Enable the "Color-Code Product Cards (Heatmap)" option to view the Heatmap Colors configuration. Based on the Low Stock Threshold, products are categorized into "Low" (yellow), "Healthy" (green/default), and "Zero" (red) stock levels.
In the "Lot/Expiry" section, set the "Expiry Warning (days)" to receive warnings for expiring products in advance. Enable "Block Expired Lots" to automatically prevent sales of expired lots.
In the "Forecasting & Replenishment" section, enable the "Show Forecasted Qty" option to show incoming quantities from pending Purchase Orders on the POS Product Tiles.
The "Forecasted Qty" is displayed alongside the current stock quantity on the POS Product Tiles to keep cashiers informed of incoming shipments.
In the "Forecasting & Replenishment" section, enable "Suggest Substitutes When Out of Stock" to prompt cashiers with alternative products when an item is out of stock.
When clicking an out-of-stock product, the system automatically opens a wizard showing available alternative products.
Enable "Show Stock in Other Warehouses" to check other warehouse stock when the POS warehouse is out of stock, and enable "Allow Transfer Request from POS" to request stock transfers.
If a product is out of stock in the POS warehouse, a warning popup displays other warehouses where it is available with options to request a stock transfer alongside a list of suggested substitutes.
In the "Request Warehouse Transfer" popup, cashiers can enter the requested quantity from another warehouse using a numeric keypad, which shows the source warehouse's total available stock.
Upon submitting a transfer request, a success notification appears in the top-right corner of the POS screen confirming that the internal transfer request has been successfully created.
In the Odoo backend Inventory app, the generated internal transfer request is displayed with its source document referencing the POS session, ready to be processed and validated.
After the backend internal transfer is validated, the stock badge on the POS product tile automatically updates to reflect the newly received stock quantity.
In the "Smart Stock Intelligence" section, enable "Variant Stock Popup" so that clicking a product with variants opens a list detailing each variant's stock.
The "T-shirt" product has two variants — "T-shirt (Red)" with a quantity of 150 and "T-shirt (Blue)" with a quantity of 200.
In the "Analytics & Reporting" section, if the "Stock Dashboard" option is enabled, an organized stock overview will be available in the POS dashboard.
This is the POS Stock Intelligence dashboard.
If the "Session-Close Stock Summary" option is enabled, a stock summary will be displayed when the session is closed.
The Stock Summary is displayed when closing the register.
In the "Enterprise Features" section, if the "Allow Manager to Override Stock Block" option is enabled, set a PIN in the "Manager Override PIN (Fallback)" field. When any product is out of stock, a PIN prompt wizard will open, and entering the correct PIN will allow the out-of-stock product to be added to the order line.
When attempting to sell an out-of-stock product (e.g., 'Demo Cola') and the security policy requires authorization, a 'Manager Override Required' popup is displayed. This popup prompts the user to enter the manager's PIN using an on-screen numeric keypad to authorize the sale of the out-of-stock item, with options to click 'Ok' or 'Discard'.
After a manager successfully enters their PIN, an orange notification appears in the top-right corner of the POS screen (e.g., 'Manager override applied for "Demo Cola".') and the out-of-stock product is successfully added to the shopping cart, indicated by its presence in the order list and the cart quantity badge (e.g., '1') on the product card.
In the Point of Sale configuration settings, configure offline capabilities including "Show Last Known Stock When Offline" so cashiers can see cached stock badges even when the system is offline.
