By default, Odoo only allows alignment to:

The 1st of the month for monthly plans
January 1st for yearly plans

What if your fiscal year starts in October? Or you need to bill your clients mid-month?

Subscription Period Anchor lets you define a fully custom anchor date:

Choose any day of the month (1-31)
Select any month for yearly plans
Automatic prorata calculation for mid-period signups

Real-World Use Cases

Education & Training Centers

Need: Align billing with the academic year starting October 1st.

                                        Configuration: Day = 1, Month = October

                                        Result: A student enrolled on Feb 15th gets a prorated bill until Sep 30th, then full yearly billing starts on Oct 1st.
