Employee Recognition: Kudos & Awards is a lightweight peer-recognition program for Odoo Community: employees give each other kudos, earn points and badges, climb a live leaderboard, and HR runs a periodic award such as Employee of the Month that publishes an announcement to the winner. It depends only on the Community hr and mail modules.
Key Features
Curated Badge Library
Managers define badges with a name, icon, description and point value (e.g. Team Player, Innovator, Customer Hero); every employee can browse the full badge set.
Send Kudos Wizard
A quick wizard, also reachable from any employee's form, recognises a colleague with a badge and a short message; kudos can be public (posted to the company feed and recipient's chatter) or private (recipient only).
Points & Live Leaderboard
Every sent kudos accrues the badge's point value to the recipient; a sortable leaderboard on the list view and the employee form ranks everyone by total points, with a computed Top Performer flag for the top decile.
Chatter Announcement Feed
Every sent kudos posts a mail.thread message, so recognition is visible as it happens instead of buried in a report.
Periodic Recognition Awards
A pure-Python, unit-tested engine computes the leaderboard for a defined period (week/month/quarter/year/custom), identifies the winner with a deterministic tie-break and a visible tie flag, and publishes an announcement to the winner and the company feed.
Badge Distribution Insight
See which badges are given most, per employee and company-wide, to spot recognition patterns.
Self-Kudos Blocked
An employee can never recognise themselves; this is enforced both in the send wizard and as a model constraint on employee.kudos.
Role-Based Security
Every internal user can send and see public kudos and their own leaderboard standing, while HR managers configure badges, compute and publish awards, and see everything including private kudos.
