Inventory Adjustment With Approval
This module adds an approval workflow to Odoo inventory adjustments. Regular users can submit adjustments for review, while only approved managers can apply them, ensuring better control and accuracy in stock management.
Key Features
- Users submit inventory adjustments for approval instead of applying directly.
- Approval requests create activities automatically assigned to all users in the "Stock Approval" group (multi-user support).
- Managers approve by marking the activity as done, allowing the adjustment to be applied.
- Only users in the "Stock Approval" group can apply submitted adjustments (group-based restriction).
- Visual status on stock quants: "New" or "Awaiting Approval".
- Detailed activity notes with quantity differences, user, and date for clear auditing.
- Easy configuration: just add users to the "Stock Approval" group.
No special setting activation required â just install the module and assign users to the Stock Approval group.
1. Create an inventory adjustment as usual. Enter the quantities and click Submit for Approval.
2. The system updates the adjustment status to âAwaiting Approvalâ and sends an activity notification to the approvers.
3. The approver reviews the request and either approves or discards it.
4. Once the approver reviews the request and selects Apply, the system updates the quantity accordingly.
