Talk to customers in real time
Hold complete conversations from inside Odoo without ever opening the Telegram app. Messages arrive in real time through a secret-token-verified webhook, and your team replies in the same window — including quoting a specific message to keep long threads clear.
Your chats become Discuss channels
Each chat becomes a live channel in Odoo Discuss, grouped under a dedicated Telegram section in the sidebar and surfaced in the messaging dropdown. Your team works inside the Discuss interface they already know — starred messages, member lists, threaded replies and reactions all included.
History that follows the contact
When a lead is created through the module, a Telegram button appears in the chatter — alongside Send message, Log note, and Activities. Because it’s tied to the partner, that button and the full conversation history follow the contact everywhere the record is used.

Your Odoo conversation is the system of record. If a message is deleted on Telegram — even deleted for both participants — it remains stored in the Odoo Telegram history, so your audit trail and customer context are never lost.

Create a bot with BotFather
Message BotFather in Telegram, run /newbot, and choose a name and username ending in “bot”. BotFather returns your bot’s API access token.
Paste the token into Odoo
In Odoo, open the Telegram configuration and paste the access token. Add a secret token to secure the webhook — the Webhook Status confirms the connection is live.
Set users, updates & CRM mapping
Add the users to notify, select which Telegram update types Odoo should receive, and map your CRM start and done stages. Optionally set group privacy via /setprivacy.
Decide who sees what
From the messaging settings, choose exactly which users can see which Telegram conversations — so sensitive threads stay with the right people.
