The ERP Labz Contact Address Google Place module integrates Google Places API to provide intelligent address autocomplete functionality for contact and partner addresses in Odoo. This module makes it easy to enter accurate addresses by leveraging Google's comprehensive address database.

How It Works

1. Configuration

Before using the module, you need to:

• Get a Google Places API key from Google Cloud Console
• Enable the "Places API" in your Google Cloud project
• Configure the API key in Odoo Settings → Google Places API Configuration

2. Using Address Autocomplete

When creating or editing a contact/partner:

• Click on the Street address field
• Start typing an address (e.g., "123 Main St, New York")
• Select an address from the Google Places suggestions
• The module automatically fills in:
  • Street address (with street number and route)
  • City
  • State/Province
  • ZIP/Postal code
  • Country

3. Data Storage

The module stores:

• Google Place ID for the selected address
• Complete Google Places data in JSON format for reference
• All standard Odoo address fields (street, city, state, zip, country)
