Data Quality
Keep your CRM and contact data clean without getting in your team's way. As records are saved, this module checks that the fields you care about are filled in and warns the user when something is missing — while still letting them save. You decide which pipeline stages demand which fields, so early leads stay frictionless and later-stage deals carry the detail your reporting needs.
Screenshots: TODO (capture from staging)
Supported Odoo version: 19.0
What it does
- Configurable per-stage rules for leads. Flag any CRM stage as *Enforce Completeness From Here* to require core fields (title, salesperson, lead source, and — where present — initial intro) from that stage onward. Flag a stage as Require Deal Economics to additionally require expected closing date, probability and expected revenue.
- Optional contact requirement. Turn on a single Settings checkbox to also require a named contact (with email) on every lead.
- Cleaner contacts. Creating a person prompts for an email and a parent company, and flags likely duplicate contacts that share an email address.
- Warn, never block. All checks are warnings: a user can review the message and choose to save anyway. Lost, archived and cancelled records are skipped entirely.
Who it's for
Sales and operations teams that want more complete CRM and contact data, but without hard walls that frustrate users or interrupt bulk imports.
Dependencies
Contacts, CRM (standard Odoo).
Configuration
- Open CRM → Configuration → Stages and tick the data-quality flags on the stages where you want completeness and deal-economics enforced.
- Optionally enable Require a Contact on Leads in Settings.
- Imports and batch jobs can opt out of the warnings when needed.
Good to know
- Nothing is enforced until you configure it — flag the stages that matter to your process.
- Because checks warn rather than block, they never leave a user unable to save their work.
