Sale Vendor Selection
Assign a specific vendor to each line of a sales order and let Odoo build the matching draft purchase orders for you. When a quotation involves several suppliers, this module keeps the buy side in step with the sell side without re-keying quantities, prices or the project link.

Supported Odoo version: 19.0
What it does
- Tick External Vendor on a sales order to reveal a vendor column on the order lines.
- Pick the product supplier for each line.
- On confirmation, one draft purchase order is created (or updated) per vendor,
with quantities, unit prices and the linked project carried across.
- Purchase orders are kept in sync even when the sales order is renamed — lines are matched by their underlying link, not by the order reference.
Who it's for
Teams that resell or subcontract through multiple vendors and want the purchase side of an order prepared automatically the moment a quotation is confirmed.
Dependencies
Sales, Purchase, Project, HR (all standard Odoo modules).
Configuration
No setup required. Install the module, open a quotation, tick **External Vendor**, and choose a vendor on each line.
Good to know
- Generated purchase orders are always drafts — confirming a purchase order stays a deliberate, human decision.
- Renaming a sales order after confirmation is fully supported; the linked purchase orders continue to sync.
- Editing an already-confirmed purchase order records a note in its chatter rather than interrupting your work.
