A locale-formatting toolkit that renders numbers, dates and amounts the way France, Belgium and the Netherlands expect them on documents and exports — space thousands separator, comma decimal, DD/MM/YYYY dates** — plus a spelled-out amount-in-words engine in French and Dutch.
Why Odoo's default exports and

Features Locale profiles (fr_FR, fr_BE, nl_BE, nl_NL) with the separators, decimal mark, grouping, currency symbol position and date pattern for each. Format engine — format integers, floats, monetary amounts, percentages and dates against a chosen profile; helpers callable from QWeb and Python. Amount-in-words — spell a monetary amount in French or Dutch (e.g. mille deux cent trente-quatre euros et cinquante-six centimes* / duizend tweehonderdvierendertig euro en zesenvijftig cent*), handling the French *quatre-vingts* / *cent* agreement rules. Format request log — a small audit object recording one-off formatting conversions for traceability.
