ODOO'S FUNCTION
In standard Odoo, users retain full access to the edit function (pencil icon) on records, and the interface does not provide dedicated "Validate" or "New" buttons for controlled data entry. This makes it harder to separate consultation, validation, and creation tasks, especially in environments that require stricter data governance.
CLUEDOO'S FUNCTION
With the Cluedoo module installed, a "Hide edit button" setting can be applied at both user and operation type level, so users still see the pencil icon but are prevented from directly editing records. The module also introduces a dedicated "Validate" button to confirm data and a "New" button to create new records, providing better control over who can modify information and how records are created and approved.

1. Check the "Hide edit button" box in both user and operation types

2. We can see the pencil icon but can't edit. You can edit if you add a product.

3. The button "validate and new" and delete were added in "add product".

4. Click on the "Print" icon after scanning a product and quantity will provide the product's barcode. We do not need to wait for picking validation. |
