ODOO'S FUNCTION
Odoo’s Merge Manufacturing Order feature sure is useful, but it doesn’t give users control over the process. You can’t choose which MO should be the primary one, and the other MO that gets merged will simply disappear without any alternative options.
CLUEDOO'S FUNCTION
Cluedoo enhances Odoo’s Merge Manufacturing Order feature by giving you more options about the MOs you merge. You can choose which MO will serve as the primary one and decide what happens to the other merged MOs, whether to cancel them or to remove.
Go to the Manufacturing module by clicking on the icon or simply type
'Manufacturing'
on the main menu.
Reach for the 'Operations' menu on the upper side of the screen, then chose
'Manufacturing Orders'.
On the Manufacturing Orders page, select the MOs you want to merge. Then click on the 'Actions' button with the gear icon. |
Choose
'Merge Mrp Orders'.
Please keep in mind that you can only merge MOs if they're on the
'Draft'
state and has the same BoM (Bill of Materials).
Select whether you want the other MO to be cancelled or removed on the
'Merge Type'
field, and which MO will be the main MO in the
'Mrp Order field'.
When everything is filled according to your need, click on the
'Merge'
button.
The selected MOs have now been merged into a single order. As you can see, the reference number will follow the MO you chose as the main one, and the quantities from all merged MOs will be combined into this primary order.
You can see the source of the merged MOs in the 'Source' column, or inside the Manufacturing Order in the Miscellaneous Tab.
If you choose
‘Existing Order and Cancel selected Mrp Orders’
, the non-primary MOs will change to the
Cancelled
state. On the other hand, if you select
‘Existing Order and Remove selected Mrp Orders’
, the non-primary MOs will be deleted.
