ODOO'S FUNCTION
Odoo allows users to manually define Analytic Distributions in certain forms (e.g., Sales Order lines). However, the system lacks the concept of an Analytic Resource. There is no automatic linkage between Manufacturing Orders (MOs) and any analytic entity, nor is there automatic propagation of Analytic Distributions between related documents.
CLUEDOO'S FUNCTION
Cluedoo enhances Odoo’s analytic capabilities with the Analytic Resource module by:
1️⃣ Automatically creating an Analytic Account when a new Analytic Resource (AR) is created.
2️⃣ Automatically linking Manufacturing Orders (MOs) to the corresponding AR.
3️⃣ Enabling users to view and track all documents connected to a specific Analytic Resource, ensuring unified analytic traceability from Sales Order → Manufacturing Order → Analytic Resource.

STORY BEHIND THE FEATURES
ODOO BEHAVIOR
You can define Analytic Distribution manually in some forms (e.g., SO lines).
There is no concept of Analytic Resource .

With this module, Cluedoo introduces:
- Automatic creation of an Analytic Account when creating a new AR.
- Automatic linkage between MOs and ARs.
- View and track all documents linked to an Analytic Resource.

BUSINESS CASE
A company manufactures products for different internal departments or external clients. By setting up an Analytic Resource , the company wants to track all production-related costs for a given project or department.
For example, an SO for a custom-made machine is created for Client A , with an assigned analytic distribution (80% R&D, 20% Sales). Once the MO is generated, the same analytic distribution is automatically inherited, and the MO is linked to the Analytic Resource created from the SO. This allows the finance team to report and analyze manufacturing costs by department or project.
