ODOO'S FUNCTION

In standard Odoo, the system allows duplicate entries for partner references, product references, product category references and customer references on sales orders — leading to confusion, reporting errors, or operational risks.

CLUEDOO'S FUNCTION

✅ Enforces uniqueness for:

  • Partner Reference
  • Product Reference
  • Sales Order Customer Reference

✅ The system displays warning messages if a user tries to assign a duplicate value.

1. Unique Reference for Partner

Go to Contacts > Choose a contact > Under the Sales & Purchase tab, in the MISC section > Add a Reference

When we set the same reference to a different partner, it will show a warning.

2. Unique Reference for Products

When we set the same reference to a different product, it will show a warning.

3.  Unique Reference for Customer

Go to Sales > Orders > New and create a new order > Fill in the Customer Reference

When we set the same reference to a different SO, it will show a warning.
