10 Enterprise Architectural Safeguards

1. HMAC-SHA512 Webhook Verification Strict verification of incoming `Binancepay-Signature` headers using HMAC-SHA512 digest to reject spoofed webhooks.
2. Idempotency Protection Prevents duplicate processing. Repeated webhooks return `SUCCESS` without re-confirming sale orders or re-deducting stock.
3. Amount & Currency Validation Validates `orderAmount` and `currency` from payload. Short payments or currency mismatches trigger warnings and mark status as error.
4. Expiration & Cancellation Mapping Handles status transitions: `PAY_SUCCESS` → Done, `EXPIRED`/`CLOSED`/`CANCELLED` → Canceled, `PAY_FAIL` → Error.
5. Manual Backend Query Action Admins can click "Query Binance Pay Status" on payment transactions in Odoo backend to query Binance API directly if webhooks are delayed.
6. Chatter Audit Logs All API responses, warnings, and transaction status updates are automatically logged into the Odoo transaction chatter.
7. Timeout & Network Safety 15-second request timeouts with structured exception handling to prevent worker thread deadlocks.

Easy Setup Guide

Step 1: Activate Payment Provider

  1. Go to Invoicing / Accounting → Configuration → Payment Providers (or Website → Configuration → Payment Providers).
  2. Select Binance Pay.
  3. Set State to Test or Enabled.

Step 2: Choose Payment Mode

Option A: Static QR & Pay ID Mode (Manual)

Select "Static QR & Pay ID", enter your Binance Pay ID / Account Email, and upload your personal Static QR Code image.

Option B: Dynamic OpenAPI v3 Mode (API)

Select "Dynamic QR", enter your Binance Merchant ID, API Key, and Secret Key. Copy the Webhook URL below into your Binance Merchant Portal.

Step 3: Configure Binance Webhook URL

In your Binance Merchant Portal → Webhook Management, set your notification URL to:

Step 4: Enable Point of Sale (POS) Terminal

  1. Go to Point of Sale → Configuration → Payment Methods → Click New.
  2. Set Name to Binance Pay.
  3. Set Payment Terminal to Binance Pay and select the Binance Pay Provider.
  4. Go to Point of Sale → Configuration → Settings and add Binance Pay to your active POS Shop.
