The Assets app for Community
Register assets and depreciate them automatically.
Odoo Community dropped the Assets feature. Fixed Asset Management brings it back: capture each asset’s cost and settings, and the module builds the full depreciation schedule for you — straight-line or declining balance — with an optional journal entry per period.
Two depreciation methods
Straight-line or declining balance with a configurable factor, over any number of monthly, quarterly or yearly periods.
Automatic schedules
Confirm an asset and the full board is computed — per-period amount, cumulative depreciation and remaining book value.
Categories & lifecycle
Reusable category defaults, and a clean lifecycle: Draft → Running → Closed → Disposed.
Optional accounting
Set a journal and accounts on the category to post each depreciation as a balanced journal entry — or keep it informational.
