Your field reps don't each need a full backend seat.
Freelance and field salespeople need to raise leads, add customers and place orders — but a backend user licence for every one of them doesn't add up, and letting them into the backend is a control and licensing risk. Ochre Sales Portal gives them a focused portal, keeps them as free Portal users, and routes every change through an approval step your team owns.
A sales workflow built for portal users
Everything the portal user needs on the front end, everything the admin needs on the back end, and nothing that touches your licence count or your data integrity.
Dashboard
Portal dashboard
Order stats, pending count, confirmed value and a projected commission — the moment they log in.
|
Catalogue
Browse & search products
Typeahead search across the product catalogue, with lines added straight onto the order.
|
Customers
Pick or add customers
Choose an existing customer or create a new one — new customers queue for admin approval before use.
|
Leads
Leads from the portal
Submit leads and opportunities from the portal and convert them into draft orders.
|
Orders
Orders with capped discounts
Build orders with line items and a per-user discount cap. Save as draft, or submit for approval.
|
Pricing
Offers & pricelist tiers
Apply promotional offers when the loyalty module is installed, and surface pricelist-based discount tiers.
|
Approvals
One-click approve or reject
Pending orders land in the backend queue. Approve to auto-confirm the order, or reject with a reason.
|
License-safe
Free portal users, by design
Your salespeople are Portal users, free in Odoo's model. Writes go through the controller with sudo() — never direct ORM access.
|
Standard records
On native Odoo objects
Everything lands on standard sale.order, res.partner and crm.lead, so your reporting and audit trail stay intact.
|
Three steps from install to a confirmed order
|
01
Add a portal user
Create a portal user, tick Is Portal User, and set their discount cap, commission rate and pricelist.
|
02
They sell
The portal user logs in, builds an order or raises a lead, and submits it for approval.
|
03
You approve
The order appears under Sales → Ochre Sales Portal → Pending Orders. Approve to confirm, or reject with a reason.
