Auto-Register Time When Sale Exists
Stop clicking through confirmation wizards. When a confirmed sale order is present, this module automatically logs the technician's time with a clean "Automated register" description — no wizard, no friction, full control.

Wizard Friction on Every Stop
Every time a technician stops the timer, Odoo opens a confirmation dialog to log time and describe the activity. When the sale is already confirmed, this step adds zero business value and only slows the workflow.
Intelligent Bypass
This module checks: Is there a confirmed sale? If yes, time is logged instantly with "Automated register" and the wizard never appears. If not, the native flow runs normally — no disruption, full flexibility.

Step-by-Step implementation
1. Configuration Guide
Enable the skip wizard feature on any FSM project in 3 steps:
- Go to Field Service > Projects.
- Open the project where you want to skip the wizard.
- Go to the Field Service settings tab.
- Enable "Skip Wizard If Sale Exists".
- Save. That's it — the bypass is now active for all tasks in this project.
2. Operating Manual (Workflow)
How the system behaves for the technician:
Confirmed Sale → Auto Register
Click Stop. No wizard appears. Time is computed and logged instantly with "Automated register" as the description. The form refreshes automatically.
No Sale → Wizard Opens
If no confirmed sale order is linked, the native confirmation wizard opens as usual. No disruption to the standard flow.
Per-Project Toggle
Each project can independently enable or disable the bypass. Perfect for mixed environments where some projects need wizard confirmation and others don't.
Compatible with Geofencing
Works fully alongside fsm_geofencing_control. Install both for GPS distance validation + automatic time logging when sale conditions are met.

Scenario 1: Bypass Activated (Confirmed Sale)
- Open an FSM project. Go to Field Service tab. Enable "Skip Wizard If Sale Exists".
- Open or create a task in that project. Link it to a confirmed Sale Order.
- Start the timer. Wait a few seconds.
- Click Stop.
- Expected: The wizard does NOT appear. The form refreshes and the timesheet line shows "Automated register" with the computed time.
Scenario 2: Normal Flow (No Confirmed Sale)
- Same FSM project with the toggle enabled.
- Open a task with no Sale Order (or only a draft one).
- Start and stop the timer.
- Expected: The standard confirmation wizard opens normally.
Scenario 3: Toggle Disabled
- Disable "Skip Wizard If Sale Exists" on the project.
- Open a task that has a confirmed Sale Order. Start and stop the timer.
- Expected: Wizard opens normally even with a confirmed sale — the toggle guards the behaviour.
Scenario 4: Coexistence with FSM Geofencing
- Install both
fsm_skip_wizard_on_saleandfsm_geofencing_control. - Enable both GPS control and the skip wizard toggle on the project.
- Stop timer with a confirmed sale from a valid GPS location.
- Expected: Time is logged automatically. GPS validation runs, lost-reason validation is skipped (sale confirmed).
FAQ & Troubleshooting
Common Resolutions
Wizard still opens even with a confirmed sale?
Reason: The toggle may not be enabled on the project, OR the Sale Order is in draft state.
Fix: Go to the project settings → Field Service tab → enable "Skip Wizard If Sale Exists". Also verify the SO is confirmed.
Can I use this without fsm_geofencing_control?
Answer: Yes! This module is completely
standalone. It only requires industry_fsm and
industry_fsm_sale.
Detail: If you later install fsm_geofencing_control, it
will automatically depend on this module and both work together seamlessly.
What description is written to the timesheet?
Answer: When bypassed, the timesheet description is automatically set to "Automated register" (translated to Spanish: "Registro automatizado" when the language is set to Spanish).
Is the time calculation accurate?
Answer: Yes. The bypass calls Odoo's native time computation logic first, so the rounded elapsed time is written exactly as it would be in the standard wizard flow.
Detail: The rounding rules defined in the project/company configuration are fully respected.
