What is GAEB?
GAEB (Gemeinsamer Ausschuss Elektronik im Bauwesen) is the German standard for electronic construction tenders. This module lets you import GAEB tender files directly into Odoo and export your quotes back as GAEB files.
Key Features
Import X83 Tenders
Import GAEB X83 tender files with one click. All items, quantities, descriptions and hierarchical sections are imported automatically.
Export X84 Quotes
Export your completed quotes as GAEB X84 files. Send them back to the client in the exact format they expect.
Hierarchical Structure
Sections and sub-sections (1, 1.1, 1.1.1) are correctly imported and displayed as section headers in your sales order.

Smart Product Handling
Single Dummy Product
The import uses a single reusable product "GAEB Position" for all items. Your product catalog stays clean - no duplicate products are created.
Smart Unit Mapping
Units of measure are automatically mapped to existing Odoo UoMs. German construction units (Pauschale, lfm, qm, cbm) are recognized. No unnecessary units are created.
Workflow
1. Receive a GAEB X83 tender file from the client.
2. Create a new sales order and open the GAEB tab.
3. Click "Import GAEB" and upload the file.
4. All items and sections are imported automatically.
5. Enter your prices directly in the sales order.
6. Click "Export GAEB" to generate an X84 quote file and send it back.
