Donation & Gift Aid Manag
Record donations, manage UK Gift Aid declarations and build HMRC claim CSV
A practical toolkit for UK charities to record donations, capture Gift Aid declarations from donors, and generate the HMRC Gift Aid claim worksheet as a ready-to-upload CSV. No certificate or accreditation is required — you submit the produced file through your own HMRC Charities Online account (bring-your-own-key submission outside Odoo).
Key Features
Donation records
Capture every donation with donor, amount, date, fund and payment method — a clean, queryable record of giving instead of scattered notes.
Gift Aid declarations
Record enduring or single-donation declarations with validity windows, so eligibility is always tied to a valid, dated declaration.
Automatic eligibility check
A donation qualifies for Gift Aid only when a valid declaration covers its date, the donor has a UK address and the gift is from the donor's own funds — checked automatically.
Gift Aid value at basic rate
The reclaimable Gift Aid is computed at the basic rate — 25p per £1 at the 20% basic rate — so you always know the value of a claim.
HMRC-format claim batches
Aggregate eligible donations into a claim batch that produces the HMRC worksheet with per-donation lines and totals.
CSV export (BYOK submit)
Export the claim as a ready-to-upload CSV and submit it yourself through HMRC Charities Online — no middleman, no accreditation needed.

Why Choose This Module
Most charities track Gift Aid in fragile spreadsheets where eligibility errors are easy and claims are slow to assemble. This app builds the eligibility logic and HMRC worksheet into Odoo accounting, complementing generic donation management with the UK-specific Gift Aid format generation — and it never gets between you and HMRC.
