Multi-Location Stock Tran
Request, approve and ship internal stock transfers with in-transit tracking
The native internal transfer is a single picking with no request or approval step. This module adds a proper transfer-request workflow on top of Odoo Inventory: a user raises a request, a manager approves it, the module generates the outbound and inbound pickings through a transit location, and the request closes only when the full requested quantity is received.
Key Features
Request & approval workflow
A full state machine — Draft → To Approve → Approved → In Transit → Received → Done — so transfers are requested, vetted and tracked, not created ad hoc.
In-transit handling
On confirmation the module creates the outbound picking (source → transit) and, on dispatch, the inbound picking (transit → destination), so stock is correctly held in-transit while goods move between sites.
Shortfall tracking
Per-line requested, shipped and received quantities with automatic shortfall computation, so partial receipts are visible and the request stays open until fully received.
Approval thresholds
Optional minimum-value threshold that forces manager approval for high-value transfers, while low-value moves flow straight through.
Native stock integration
Reservation and validation are handled through standard Odoo stock, so the transfer fits your existing inventory, routing and accounting.
End-to-end traceability
Trace from the transfer request back to every generated picking and stock move for a complete, auditable record of inter-site movement.
Why Choose This Module
Odoo's native internal transfer has no request or approval layer and no clean in-transit visibility for multi-site businesses. This module adds the governance and traceability that operations teams need, built entirely on standard stock with no external service.
