WhatsApp / SMS Notificati
Transactional WhatsApp & SMS alerts via your own Twilio/Meta keys (BYOK)
Customers expect updates on the channels they actually read. This module sends transactional SMS and WhatsApp messages from Odoo using your own provider keys (Twilio or Meta WhatsApp Cloud API), with reusable templates, automatic trigger rules and a reliable outbound queue. BYOK means no per-message liability on the publisher — you control spend and sender IDs.
Key Features
Multiple BYOK gateways
Twilio SMS, Twilio WhatsApp, Meta WhatsApp Cloud and a generic HTTP gateway, configured per company with a test mode.
Reusable templates
Per-channel, per-model templates with placeholder rendering from any record — {{name}}, {{amount_total}} and more — with live preview.
Trigger rules, no code
Fire a template automatically when a record reaches a state — sale.order confirmed, account.move posted — with once-per-record control.
Reliable outbound queue
Messages move draft → queued → sent / failed with an attempt counter, provider message-id capture and automatic retry of transient failures.
E.164 phone normalisation
Numbers are normalised to E.164 using the partner's country dialling code, with masked display for privacy.
Manual send wizard
Send a one-off SMS or WhatsApp from any contact, while a cron drains the queue and retries failures in the background.
Your account, your control
BYOK keeps billing, sender IDs and compliance with your own provider — no relay markup or vendor lock-in.
Generic transactional alerts
Works across any Odoo model, complementing deeper WhatsApp integrations with simple, reliable BYOK transactional messaging.
