How It Works
Choose the operation (post/validate), optionally apply a domain filter, and define the required file types and counts.
When users trigger the operation (single or bulk), each record is validated against applicable rules. If requirements are missing, the operation is blocked or routed to override (if allowed).
Records display "OK / Missing" status badges that update automatically when attachments are uploaded or removed, providing instant feedback without page refresh.

Configuration
- Go to Settings → Mandatory Attachments
- Open Attachment Rules and click Create
- Select the target operation and (optional) domain filter
- Add one or more Attachment Requirements (type, min count, optional size limits)
- Optional: enable Manager Override and set notification preferences
Technical Notes
Requirements can evaluate file type (including grouped types like "PDF or Image") and size. Files that do not match requirements do not count toward compliance. Accounting (`account.move`) and Inventory (`stock.picking`) operations are supported out of the box. Compatible with both Odoo Community and Enterprise editions.
Optional override is restricted to authorized groups; override actions can be audited via compliance events. Protected attachments cannot be deleted once documents reach locked states (posted moves / done pickings).
