Google API Setup
Go to Google API library and setup Google People API with a Client ID and Secret.
For the callback URL use: https://example.com/google_contact/auth/callback
Connect to Google
Go to Settings. Copy and paste the Client ID and Secret and click Connect to Google.
Authorization
Click Continue for all authorization prompts to grant necessary permissions.
Success & Testing
After seeing the success window, close it. You can test the connection in Settings (if it fails, repeat the process).
Create Sync Status
Go to Odoo Contacts and navigate to Google Contacts -> Sync Status. Click New.
Import Contacts
Click Import from Google. Your contacts will be imported, and existing ones will be updated.
Verify Import
Go to Contacts. You will see they are updated. Click on a contact to verify relevant fields are filled correctly.
Export & Sync
Create a new contact in Odoo and click Sync with Google or Export to Google.
Note: "Export" is for new contacts. "Sync" is to update changes for contacts already exported.
