Agri Logistics & Transport
Trader-grade fleet and trip management for agribusiness procurement: trip P&L, freight rate matrix, telematics ingestion, geofencing and harvest-window compliance gating.
Overview
Agri Logistics & Transport extends the standard Odoo Fleet module with the compliance, economics and operations features that grain, livestock and perishable traders need to run a profitable transport operation against tight harvest windows.
Key Features
- Compliance-aware vehicles — axle weight, cold-chain capability, fuel economy and harvest readiness on top of fleet.vehicle.
- Driver management — license validity, Hours-of-Service tracking and skill matrix.
- Freight rate matrix — origin / destination rate cards with auto-revenue computation on transport orders.
- Trip P&L — fuel, toll, demurrage and incidental costs rolled up per trip with cost-per-ton-kilometer KPI.
- Telematics ingestion — pluggable ping feed adapter; polygon geofences with entry detection; cold-chain temperature excursion alerts.
- Compliance gating — trips cannot depart with an over-axle vehicle, expired license, exceeded HOS or cold-chain mismatch.
- Trip economics SQL report — pivot P&L by route, vehicle, driver and period.
- Lock-on-delivery — immutable trips after delivery via the agri locked mixin.
Installation
- Go to :menuselection:`Apps`
- Search for Agri Logistics & Transport
- Click :guilabel:`Install`
Note
This module hard-depends on grev_od_agri_analytics (foundation host), grev_od_commodity_base, grev_od_commodity_delivery and the standard Odoo fleet module.
Configuration
- Define vehicles under :menuselection:`Agribusiness --> Logistics --> Vehicles` and set axle weight, cold-chain capability and fuel economy.
- Add drivers and licenses under :menuselection:`Agribusiness --> Logistics --> Drivers`.
- Maintain routes and the freight rate matrix under :menuselection:`Agribusiness --> Logistics --> Routes` and :menuselection:`Agribusiness --> Logistics --> Freight Rates`.
- Configure geofences under :menuselection:`Agribusiness --> Logistics --> Geofences`.
Important
Compliance gating is enforced server-side. action_depart() will refuse to set the transport order to in_transit if any compliance check fails.
Usage
Transport Order Lifecycle
- Create a transport order at :menuselection:`Agribusiness --> Logistics --> Transport Orders`.
- Add transport lines linking commodity deliveries.
- Click :guilabel:`Schedule` to assign vehicle and driver.
- Click :guilabel:`Depart` — compliance is checked, vehicle status moves to in_use.
- Click :guilabel:`Deliver` — trip is locked, vehicle returns to available and actual arrival is recorded.
Trip Economics
Open :menuselection:`Agribusiness --> Reporting --> Trip Economics` for a SQL-backed pivot view of P&L, cost-per-ton-km and margin per route.
