Agri Market Price Intelligence
Trader-grade commodity price intelligence: futures and spot, basis vs benchmark, forward curves, rolling technical indicators and a configurable alert engine.
Overview
Agri Market Price Intelligence brings exchange-grade price tracking, basis analytics and rolling technical indicators into Odoo. It is built for buyers, hedgers and risk managers who need to monitor commodity prices across CBOT, ICE, MATIF, ZCE and other exchanges.
Key Features
- Spot and futures tracking — record prices per market, commodity and date with spot / futures / forward typing.
- Basis with FX adjustment — compute local basis vs benchmark futures, with FX conversion through dated FX rates.
- Forward curves — snapshot the full forward curve by exchange and commodity for contango / backwardation analysis.
- Technical indicators — rolling MA20, MA50, RSI, Bollinger Bands and volatility computed automatically.
- Extended alert engine — asymmetric thresholds (above / below), volatility, MA-cross and basis-widening alerts with acknowledgement workflow.
- Bulk CSV import — wizard for historical and daily uploads.
- SQL price report — last price, % change 30d, volatility and average basis.
Installation
- Go to :menuselection:`Apps`
- Search for Agri Market Price Intelligence
- Click :guilabel:`Install`
Note
This module hard-depends on grev_od_agri_analytics and grev_od_commodity_base.
Configuration
- Define markets at :menuselection:`Agribusiness --> Market Prices --> Markets` (set code, region, currency and benchmark futures contract).
- Maintain FX rates at :menuselection:`Agribusiness --> Market Prices --> FX Rates`.
- Configure alerts at :menuselection:`Agribusiness --> Market Prices --> Alerts`.
Important
Alert checking is cron-driven (daily by default). Triggered alerts create grev.agri.price.alert.log entries and mail.activity notifications for each subscriber.
Usage
Importing Prices
- Open :menuselection:`Agribusiness --> Market Prices --> Import Prices`.
- Upload a CSV with columns date, market_code, commodity_code, price, currency.
- Click :guilabel:`Import`.
Reading the Price Report
Open :menuselection:`Agribusiness --> Reporting --> Market Price Report` for a SQL-backed pivot of last price, period change, volatility and average basis by market and commodity.
