Hide Send Message Button
Restrict Chatter messaging by hiding the 'Send Message' button for specific user groups. This module gives administrators fine-grained control over Chatter communication by selectively hiding the 'Send Message' button based on user group membership.
Ideal for companies that want to restrict specific users from sending messages outside the organization.
1. Manage User Permissions
Navigate to the Users menu under Settings to manage permissions for individual users.
2. Locate Security Group
Find the "Hide Send Message Button" option under the "Extra Rights" section in the user's form view.
3. Button Visibility
By default, the 'Send Message' button is visible in the Chatter for all users.
4. Restrict Access
Check the "Hide Send Message Button" box to restrict this user from sending messages through the Chatter.
5. Button Hidden
Once restricted, the 'Send Message' button will no longer appear for that user, ensuring controlled communication.
