Minimum Product Quantity
Enforce a minimum purchase quantity for products and variants on your Odoo website shop page.
1. Product Selection
Navigate to the Products menu within the Sales application and select the desired product to begin the configuration of its minimum purchase quantity requirements.
2. Configure Minimum Quantity
On the Sales tab of the product form, locate the "Quantity Management Configuration" section and set the Minimum Product Quantity to enforce a required purchase amount for products without variants.
3. Automatic Website Validation
In the Sales tab, locate the Quantity Management Configuration section and set the Minimum Product Quantity. For products without variants, this value applies directly to the product. Customers will not be allowed to purchase quantities below the defined limit.
4. Products with Multiple Variants
For products that offer multiple configurations, the module provides specialized settings to manage minimum purchase quantities at the individual variant level.
5. Navigating to Product Variants
Access the list of all available configurations by clicking the Variants smart button located at the top of the product template form.
6. Product Variant Selection
Identify and select the specific product variant from the list to apply unique minimum quantity constraints tailored to that particular configuration.
7. Variant-Specific Quantity Settings
Within the product variant form, configure the Minimum Product Quantity to enforce a distinct purchase limit that applies only to this specific configuration.
8. Dynamic Enforcement for Variants
The website dynamically adjusts to the selected variant, ensuring that the specific minimum quantity limit is strictly enforced during the customer's shopping session.
9. Managing Alternative Variants
Each configuration can be managed independently, allowing for diverse sales strategies across different variants of the same product.
10. Independent Configuration for Variants
Define a different Minimum Product Quantity for another configuration to accommodate varying inventory policies or supplier requirements.
11. Seamless Customer Experience
The website provides a consistent and controlled experience by automatically updating the minimum order requirements as the customer selects different product variants.
