Maya Payment Provider
Integrates your Odoo eCommerce and invoicing system with Maya (formerly PayMaya), the leading digital payments platform in the Philippines. This app enables you to securely accept payments through the Maya hosted checkout, supporting a smooth redirection-based payment flow with real-time webhook notifications. With seamless integration into Odoo's checkout and accounting workflows, the module automatically confirms orders, records transactions, and simplifies reconciliation. It supports partial refunds, sandbox and production environments, and easy webhook management—making it an ideal payment solution for Philippine businesses using Odoo.
1. Activate Maya Provider
Locate and activate the Maya payment provider from the Payment Providers menu in the Odoo backend configuration to begin the integration process.
2. Configure API Credentials
From the Credentials tab on the Maya provider form in Odoo, enter your Public Key and Secret Key obtained from your Maya Developer Portal to authorize Odoo to process payments via your account.
3. Register Webhook for Status Updates
Click the Register Webhook with Maya button in Odoo. This automatically creates webhook
subscriptions in your Maya account using your Odoo notification URL
(/payment/maya/webhook) to enable real-time synchronization of payment events such as
successful payments, failures, cancellations, and refund updates.
4. Review Shopping Cart
Customers can review their selected products, quantities, and totals on the eCommerce Cart page before proceeding to the final checkout and payment stage.
5. Proceed to Payment
From the checkout page, selecting Maya as the payment method and clicking Pay Now securely redirects the customer to the external Maya hosted checkout page.
6. Maya Hosted Checkout
On the Maya hosted checkout page, customers can securely complete their payment using Credit/Debit Cards, Maya Wallet, GCash, GrabPay, and other supported payment methods available through the Maya gateway.
7. Payment Success
After the customer completes their payment, the Maya gateway displays a payment success confirmation screen, indicating that the transaction has been processed successfully.
8. Order Confirmation
After a successful transaction, the customer is automatically redirected back to the Odoo Order Confirmation page, where a success message and order reference are displayed.
9. Track Backend Transactions
View and manage detailed Payment Transactions directly within Odoo's backend, where statuses are automatically updated to Confirmed via Maya webhook notifications in real time. Each transaction includes a dedicated Maya Details tab displaying key payment information such as the Checkout ID, Payment ID, Transaction ID, Refund ID, and current Payment Status — all synced directly from the Maya gateway. Additionally, the Refund Rules section displays Maya's applicable refund policy for that transaction, giving your team full visibility into what refund actions are permitted.
10. Process Manual Refunds
Initiate full or partial refunds for successful payments directly from the payment record in Odoo using the built-in Refund button. Maya's partial refund support ensures flexible refund management.
11. Refund Status and Transaction Confirmation
Upon successful refund processing, Odoo displays a notification banner and automatically logs the refund activity in the document Chatter, ensuring a complete audit trail of the refund process.
A separate Refund Transaction is created for every processed refund. The transaction also contains the refund reference, refunded amount (partial or full), payment status, and provider details, making it easy to track and reconcile refund activities.
12. Pay Invoices via Portal
Enable customers to pay their outstanding Invoices directly from the Odoo Customer Portal using the integrated Maya secure checkout gateway.
13. Instant Invoice Reconciliation
Upon successful payment of an invoice, Odoo automatically updates the invoice status to Paid and reconciles the transaction instantly with the corresponding journal entry.
