1. Automatic Quotation Sequence Allocation
When creating a new quotation from Sales > Orders > Quotations Odoo automatically assigns a unique quotation number with the SQ prefix. This dedicated numbering system clearly separates quotations from confirmed sales orders, making it easy to distinguish draft proposals and sent quotations from finalized customer orders.
2. Quotation Documentation
Enhance customer communication by generating professional documents from the quotation form. The reporting engine ensures that printed PDF documents prominently feature the assigned sequence, providing clear identification.
3. Quotation List View
The Sales > Orders > Quotations menu displays only records that are in the Quotation or Quotation Sent state. This dedicated view helps sales teams focus on active proposals, track ongoing negotiations, and manage pending customer quotations efficiently without mixing them with confirmed sales orders.
4. Quotation Reference Retention
Maintain complete traceability throughout the sales process. When a quotation is confirmed, the system generates a new Sales Order number while automatically preserving the original quotation reference in the Quote Number field under the Other Information tab.
