Hamdek Location: No Negative Stock
Set Prevent negative inventory on each stock location where you need it. When enabled, Odoo blocks moves that would leave a negative on-hand quantity for consumable products on internal or transit locations at that site — other locations stay unchanged until you turn the rule on there too.
Location-wise control
The rule is stored on stock locations: enable Prevent negative inventory only on warehouses or bins where negative stock must never happen. Storable (stockable) products are not restricted by this module; it applies to consumable products on internal and transit usages.
Per location
Toggle the flag on each internal or transit location independently — flexible for mixed policies across your operation.
Clear blocking
If a move would create a negative quant, Odoo raises a validation error with product, optional lot/serial, quantity, and location.
List & search
Optional column on the location list and filters in search help you see where the rule is active.

How to Get Started
- Install Hamdek Location: No Negative Stock (requires Inventory / stock).
- Go to Inventory → Configuration → Locations and open an internal or transit location.
- Enable Prevent negative inventory on each location where negative on-hand must be blocked.
- Use the location list optional column or search filters to review which locations use the rule.
Use Cases
Strict bins or shops
Turn the rule on for retail or production locations where backorders on consumables are not allowed.
Transit you control tightly
Apply the same flag on transit locations when in-transit stock must not show negative balances.
Workflow
Configure locations, review them in list view, and see how Odoo blocks invalid moves when the rule applies.
Location form — enable the flag
Open a location with usage Internal or Transit and enable Prevent negative inventory.
Location list — optional column
Show the optional column on the locations list to see which sites have the rule enabled at a glance.
Validation error when blocked
When a move would leave negative on-hand quantity for a consumable on a protected location, Odoo shows a clear validation error with product, quantity, and location (and lot/serial when applicable).
