The Room Is Held Immediately
A website booking takes a real room and holds it for a window you configure. Held rooms disappear from public availability at once, so the same room is never sold twice. Unconfirmed holds expire automatically on an hourly job and the room returns to inventory.

Confirm the Reservation
A free room is auto-assigned if none was chosen, overlaps are re-checked under a database lock so two staff cannot confirm the same room at once, and the guest receives a confirmation email. Reservations are visible as list, kanban and calendar.

Selling the same room twice
Holds remove rooms from public availability the instant a booking is submitted. Confirmation re-checks overlaps under a row lock. Walk-in folios and out-of-order rooms are excluded too.
Charging a guest twice
Every folio line records the document that created it. A service can post only once, the button disappears afterwards, and reversal is a manager-only action limited to open folios.
Letting a charge escape the bill
Restaurant, laundry, transport, events and POS all post to the same folio. Filters surface anything not yet posted, so nothing is discovered after the guest has gone.
